EXCELS
Our program participates in EXCELS, a statewide quality rating and improvement system for early childhood programs. EXCELS recognizes child care programs that go above basic licensing requirements to provide high-quality care and education for young children.
Participation in EXCELS means our program is committed to:
High-quality learning environments that support children’s growth and development
Qualified, trained educators who continue professional development
Strong health and safety practices
Positive teacher-child interactions
Family engagement and communication
Programs in EXCELS are regularly reviewed and supported to ensure they continue meeting quality standards.
NAEYC
Our program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation’s leading organization for high-quality early childhood education.
NAEYC accreditation is a rigorous process that recognizes programs that meet the highest standards of excellence in early learning, health and safety, curriculum, teacher qualifications, and family partnerships.
NAEYC-accredited programs are committed to:
Developmentally appropriate learning tailored to each child
Safe, healthy, and nurturing environments
Well-trained, caring teachers who support social, emotional, and academic growth
Positive relationships between children, teachers, and families
Continuous improvement through ongoing assessment and professional development
Accreditation is reviewed regularly to ensure these high standards are maintained.
CACFP
Our program participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a federally funded nutrition program that helps ensure children receive healthy, well-balanced meals and snacks each day.
CACFP provides guidelines and support to child care programs so meals meet children’s nutritional needs and support healthy growth and development.
Through CACFP, we are committed to providing:
Nutritious, balanced meals and snacks
Age-appropriate portion sizes
Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins
Milk and healthy beverage choices
Nutrition education and positive mealtime experiences
Meals are planned to support children’s energy, focus, and overall well-being throughout the day.
