School-Age Program

School Age Program (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

With local public schools going to a virtual platform until January 29, 2021, the NIST CCC would like to support the NIST community by offering a full-day school-age (Kindergarten through 5th Grade) program, beginning Monday, September 14, 2020, to complement MCPS virtual learning with in-person academic support and peer socialization.

In an effort to provide a safe environment, the CCC has been following the Public Health Emergency Procedures, based on CDC Guidance.

The ratio will be two teachers and 13 children, divided into two groups. The teachers will be there to assist the children with the course work and technical support for virtual learning.

Bi-weekly tuition: $485 (NIST, including all associates and employees) / $500 (non-NIST) . If space allows, drop-in care daily rates are $85 (NIST) / $90 (non-NIST). To be eligible for drop-in care, families will still need to enroll and have all health and emergency forms ready to meet our licensing requirements.

The planned schedule is below. Once we have everyone’s schedules, we will arrange for enrichment activities such as Art, PE and Spanish.

To inquire or to enroll: nistchld@nist.gov or 301.975.2152 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
