Katherine Kim, Election Chair for 2021 NIST CCA BoD Elections.
The NIST CCA Board of Directors is proposing a couple of updates to our bylaws. Per the bylaws, these updates have to be approved by a majority of the members of the NIST CCA. Below is a summary of the proposed updates.
Changing the acronym for NIST Child Care Association to be “CCA” instead of “CA” for consistency with other documents.
Changing the language describing who is eligible to be members of the CCA. This update is to reflect the fact that enrollment at the Child Care Center is not limited to NIST employees, NIST associates, and other federal employees, but is also open to members of the general public in accordance with the current Memorandum of Agreement between NIST and the CCA. This update also explicitly states that membership in the CCA is required in order to obtain child care at the center.
Added language to describe the considerations that should be taken when holding virtual meetings of the Board of Directors, or a virtual meeting of the CCA, including specifying under what conditions a virtual attendee may be counted for the purposes of quorum.
Below you can find the current bylaws as well as a "tracked changes" version of the proposed bylaws.
